Neon Breakthrough

I still don't know how I feel about crackle polish. But this polish was on sale at Sally's so I bought it since I like the color and it looked kinda neat with my neon polish. I dunno, what do you think? The neon, by the way, is from Forevs and, yes, I likey a lot!

Spring Green-ing

American Apparel Nail Polish MacArthur Park
Get it? Spring cleaning? Whatever. I went overboard with a shopping spree of nail polishes at American Apparel with German partner in crime Selina while she was in town. First time I tried these polishes and they are freaking amazing omg. The color, the texture, the pigment, the smoothness, the brush, it's amazing. Ahhhh! Anyway, the color is MacArthur Park! Perfect Spring Green! I bought like 5 nail polishes when I was at American Apparel and I wanna buy polishes there now all the time. Look pretty it is next to Ulta's Sun-Sational. Toodles!!!

Chanel Graphite

Two coats does the trick. The glitter is so small that it's part of the polish and you have a mega smooth finish. All in all, totally worth it. I'm keeping this baby around for next fall/winter!
STACKS! of $1 bills... HA! buy the polish here clickety click!

Thrill of Brazil by OPI

This is probably one of my favorite reds in my collection (but red is not a go to thingy thang for me). It's a bright red with just the slightest hint of blue! And a touch of orange so it looks nice with many skin tones.

It's from the South American line and of course I had to by it. I have another color from the South American line that I'll post tomorrow! Or today. Whenever.

The Thrill of Brazil should be called Flavio Cardoso or Gabriel Ferraz of São Paulo. They are my very handsome friends that I met during my days at the University of Florida and if you little American girls are into that... Then yes, they are very much the Thrill of Brazil (OPI).

Have a great day errbody! It's my sister's birthday today btw. Woot woot! Happy happy!!

Hello awesome packaging?!

I've been using Chanel nail polish since 2007 (sorry, I realize that the past few posts have been about Chanel and only Chanel) and I can't believe that I just noticed something amazing about the packaging!

It has the brand printed at the bottom!!!! Loco! Totally makes sense why these polishes are effing $26.00 each.

Fruits for Spring

My friend Alana went crazy on my nails after we watched an opera downtown. I am quite obsessed with them!!

Distraction by Chanel

This is exactly what my love for nailpolish is. A huge distraction.I'm supposed to be concentrating and putting all my time and energy into studying but all I can do it paint and repaint my nails. :(

This is a nice resort, spring, summer color, right? Yes. I think so too!

Chanel, Chanel, Chanel

I love my sister and Lam Bui! Look at what they both split and got for me! We were all out shopping at Nordstrom a few days ago and I stumbled upon the Spring collection "April, May, and June". I've seen the photos everywhere but April looked slutty, May was too pink, and June was the perfect summer pastel orange!! After all, I do live in Florida and we love our oranges and I was born in June! Stay tuned for when I actually put on the polish. I feel it's too bright to wear right now. :/

I love Chanel nail polishes. I really do. And no, it's not just for the name. The polishes really are amazing to work with and the colors are so amazing and fashion forward! I mean duh, it is Chanel. I first started using their nail polish when I was working at Chanel during my second year of college. Even though I only worked there for 4 months, I was able to see and try all the Chanel products I've been wanting to try. Everything from perfume to makeup to skin care I was either gifted or purchased at highly discounted rate. By the end of my tenure at the famed brand, I owned brushes, makeup, nail polish, skin care, and even stationary. We had these Chanel pencils and note cards that we used with clients. It was cute.

Anyhoooot!! Here is one of my sister's Christmas presents for me! Chanel's Peridot which is no doubt one of my favorite colors on both clothes and nails this past season! Teehee. I hope you guys are having a great day!!! Toodles!

Gold Crackle

On with the sparkle and glitter and everything important in life! It's so weird how I'm really into nail polish lately. Like, I've always loved it, but not in a way that I make special trips to Target, CVS, Ulta, or the Chanel counter at Nordstrom just to stock up on polishes and see what's new or hot. :(

Oh well! I'm not complaining, my mom's not complaining, so neither should you! I could be spending my money on crack but I'm spending it on something more meaningful instead. <3

Anyway, with this look I kinda wanted to imitate a really good Christmas ornament like the one shown here:

And since I didn't have extra beads laying around I figured, I will mix the shit up that I have already and make something beautiful! Woot. Woot!

I decided to use this really pretty French color by Rimmel because the top coat I used didn't have a lot of pigment, just a lot of pearl finish hence I needed a base color. :) All I needed was 3 coats of the Rimmel to achieve that white color! You can see on the final pic that you can't really even see the pearly color, but in person it's a really pretty detail! And just because the person whose hand you're shaking can't see the pearl doesn't mean that it's not there! And if you're shaking their hand, they are OBVIOUSLY not hugging/kissing on the cheek material therefore they aren't important.

So there.

**DAISO Japan Diamond Nail Enamel Winmax (Sorry, but DAISO doesn't do online shopping and so far the only shops that exist in the US are all on the West Coast. You know, where all the Asians live.<< I'm allowed to say that because I am one. HA! )

I will have sparkly nails forever!

And by forever I mean all this month. I bought the black nail polish in Daiso Japan when I was in Seattle last month. It was amazing it was like a haven for all things cute and adorable. Even the packaging is super cute and adorable!

The purple glitter polish is Frenzy by Sinful Colors. I bought at Target a few days ago because I'm addicted to glitter starting when I was born!!!

New Blog! New Year!

Hello to the Blogosphere! :) First and foremost, HAPPY NEW YEAR TO EVERYONE OUT THERE! I created this blog with the friendly suggestion of one of my best friends and employer, Zak Bennett. Nail polish and makeup has been one of my favorite past times since who knows when. I very much enjoy painting my own nails and my friends nails and doing makeovers and playing with makeup with anyone who would let me!

I decided then to go ahead and create this blog and to launch it on the first day of this year, because I have a feeling that this year is IT! So what better way than to share with you guys my favorite nail and makeup projects and show ya'll what I do with my favorite materialistic possessions! :)

I decided this first post will be short and sweet and with only one photo. It's a polish I bought on the 31st (yesterday!!) of December when I was out shopping in Sephora and I found this polish in the sale bin. And I thought it was very fitting!

And while we're on the subject of New Year's Red-solution (CATCHY NO?!), I will tell you all one of my resolutions! I will post on this blog at least 5 times a week (Monday-Friday) for the whole entire year. I can't wait to start the journey with you all!
